Special Collections
Special Collections highlights, preserves and provides reference for Bahamian and University related information within the University of The Bahamas. Much of the resources are valuable, rare and need to be made accessible to researchers while still being preserved from damage and loss.
Special Collections is a closed access area. Access will be by appointment and for research purposes only. It’s use is extended to UB students, staff, faculty and registered public patrons.

The University of The Bahamas Library has 11 study rooms available to students. 7 on the first floor (three 2-person rooms and four 1-person rooms) and 4 on the second floor (two 2-person rooms, one 3-persons room and one 4-persons room. These rooms provide a quiet place where students can work and study. The purpose is to support academic study, research, and group collaboration.
Study Rooms are available from:
Monday-Thursday 9am-8pm
Friday 10am-5pm
Study Rooms can be booked for a maximum of 2-hours; with 1-hour renewal subject to availability.
